I flew into Kerry in a storm. The coastal landscapes and skies on the Dingle Peninsula have been spectacular and a real challenge to photograph when you’re being battered by the elements. I’ve rarely experienced such extremes of weather almost every day during my week in Ireland. I also can’t resist a peek into some the abandoned buildings along the ‘Wild Atlantic Way’, especially since they offer respite from the gale force winds. I wonder about the former inhabitants of these now dilapidated homes, the lives they led, the things they left behind and the stories that remain within their walls.
