Spotted Deer, Ranthambore

Spotted Deer or Chital are native to the Indian sub-continent and therefore common throughout Ranthambore Wildlife Reserve. These particular deer suddenly became aware of us when our guide started mimicking their calls, but were comfortable enough because of our distance. The dappled light, which further demonstrates how well they blend into the landscape, and their symmetry came together just at the right time.
